Exploring the city

Hi Mom!

This weekend we went to the city center of Graz to do some sightseeing! I visited the Mausoleum.
The pictures are a bit dark because it was raining once again!
There was so much rain during the last week and though it was sunny this morning, the rain has started once again...
Well...Then we went to the Burg where the Gothic double-spiral staircase is located. You can see me inside of the staircase.

Next we went to the Glockenspielplatz, where you can see a Carillon.
But it wasn't the right time for the figurines to dance... If you want to see what they look like, follow the Carillon-link!

That was a lot of sightseeing for such a small bear! I'm quite tired now!

Strawberry-fields forever

Hi Mom!

I had much fun with my hostmom! We went to a place called "Erdbeerland", which means strawberryland. It's a place where families come to pick strawberries themselves. You are also allowed to eat as much as you want to while picking- that was really yummi!

and in front of the rows of strawberrybushes.


Unfortunately it started raining a bit, but we braved the elements and kept on picking! When you are finished you bring your basket to a scale and pay for it.
We went home then and started washing and slicing the berries so we could make some strawberryjam!

The weather is still not at its best, so we can't really go on exploring. It's been raining for days now... But as soon as the rain stops or gets lighter we will go to the city center for some touristy sightseeing!

Hi Mom!

I had my first Austrian meal yesterday! It was a roast pork with potatoes and rice!

After that I had a Linzer cake. That was yummi! The meal was a goodbye for MrCoolHH as he continues his journey today! I'm a bit sad to be all alone now, but my host mom said that maybe another TV will arrive soon!
There were also some other bears yesterday and it was nice meeting them!

Today I arrived in Graz, Austria! You can see me as I exit my aircraft! I'm a bit tired, and my nose was flat once again...
I met another traveling toy today, it's MrCoolHH.
